Making the jumpsuit
Though it makes bathroom time a little more complicated, there’s plenty of reasons to invest in the full-length jumpsuit. We’ve taken inspiration from ’70s icons, who worked the one-piece with heels and a turban. Worn at work with a blazer or out at night with heels, a little eyeshadow and a spritz of Chanel No. 5, the jumpsuit’s got our vote — even if it does make peeing something of an acrobatic activity. Our suggestion? Less liquids, more food.
Muse of the moment
The inspiration:
Bianca Jagger
Family values: Ex-wife of a Rolling Stone, mother of Jade Jagger
Fierce factor: Known for her signature YSL suit — most notably an all-white number — Jagger would swan about in floor-length Halston pieces and jersey jumpsuits. Revered for her take-no-prisoners approach to style — girlfriend was once photographed shaving her underarms at some party — she’s the epitome of effortless cool. In a cage match with a celebutante like Tinsley Mortimer, Jagger would probably win — without ruffling a strand of her tousled locks.
