It's indie's turn to rock

TALK SHOP - Anne Bella -

Among the fashion tribes that exist, and nowadays there seem to be more hybrids than the usual preppy/sporty/girly, the indie girl is probably the most diverse and unique. Their imaginations seem to run wilder than the usual, probably because most of them are immersed in the arts and the art world (or pretend to be) so that their desire to be different is innate. Their style — part hipster, part vintage granny, part preppy geek — is a refreshing breath of fresh air from the usual short, tight and minimalist looks “It” girls love to sport. Not that they don’t show some skin here and there. It’s more how they do it.

Contradictory, confident and understatedly sexy.

Check out these chicks from indie haunts Saguijo, Penguin Café and The Collective.
