The girls know how to have fun in feminine shapes and hemlines
MANILA, Philippines - In all the events I attended this week, feminine and girly prints, shapes and hemlines prevailed. Seems the fall trend of lace and sheer fabrics is sticking around for a while, judging from the many versions worn, interpreted in the most unique ways (lace dress with Chuck Taylors!). Happy, bright prints were also prevalent, proving that despite the minimalist route fashion is taking, some chicks still prefer to stand out in a sea of black and navy. Same goes for the daring and edgy, rocking snakeskin print and kimono-inspired dresses. The classics, tried-and-tested pieces, were also in the limelight in the presence of nautical stripes, slim-cut pants and the requisite bouclé jacket. Sporty ensembles (aptly worn at indie haven Saguijo) lent a laid-back and casual take on “gimmick” wear, but not without a statement. Baller shirts and boat shoes gave it a hipster spin.
