Hemlines are going nowhere but up, an indication that summer is indeed in the air, as guests in Paolo Pineda’s exhibit last March 17 at Members Only proved. Short dresses, skirts and shorts were the uniform paired with tank and tube tops, jackets and tees. Almost every color in the spectrum was present with jewel tones being top choice. Neutrals also made their presence felt for those who preferred to play it safe in black, white and gray versions. The outfits’ pièce de résistance, however, were super fierce shoes (you name it, I saw it). Chunky gladiators, classic pumps and Mary Janes, sandal booties and strappy sandals clunked and clicked on the heavy wooden floors, making it ultimate heaven for the shoe addict.
One-shoulder dress
Fitted, short and with just enough shot of skin make this dress drip with sex appeal.
Little black dresses
Whether strapless, wrap-around, skin tight or sequined, this no-fail, no-fuss, no-nonsense dress is all a woman ever needs to look her brightest.
Jacket and jeans combo
Call it coincidence but these girls know how to rock the jacket, jeans and white shirt combo: Throw in an It bag or two, sky-high heels, ruby lips and you’re all set.
