Saks 5th welcomes Calvin Klein

MANILA, Philippines - Boutiques all over the West Coast may be closing shop but on the East Coast, particularly New York’s style street Fifth Avenue, fashion remains a come-on. Calvin Klein recently opened a shop solely for womenswear in Saks Fifth Avenue and the brand’s creative director Francisco Costa hosted an intimate, by-invite-only party to celebrate the launch.

Though the gathering lacked Hollywood pull — save for Grey’s Anatomy’s Melissa George — the 900-square-foot, all-white space was packed with New York’s most thriving socialites and fash industry insiders: Vogue contributing editor Lauren Santo Domingo, freelance writers Kathryn Neale and Jessica Joffe, model Elettra Weidemann, MTV presenter Alexa Chung, all of whom were dressed in sleek Calvin Klein frocks. — AK
