With this kind of dedication and love for the game, Reema is proud to say that her team, Team Cream Silk, is vying to be the champion in the International Ultimate Frisbee Beach Tournament this summer.      

There is nothing like power-smashing the volleyball and winning that point. Twenty-year-old Marcia Cruz perfectly proves this. As a varsity member of the UST Growling Tigers, she was encouraged by her older sister to try out for the sport she eventually fell in love with. With hurdles in reaching the top of her game, Marcia showed utmost dedication in being a team player.

Beyond the beachfront is another empowered Cream Silk woman who shines this summer as a fire dancer and champion surfer: Lorraine Lapus has been surfing for almost five years now and is the marketing director and the only female certified instructor for the Philippine Surfing Academy as well as being Red Cross trained and certified for Basic First Aid and Water Safety & Rescue.

“I always equate summer with fun and it’s definitely a time to shine,” enthuses Lorraine. “It’s a time when you get to see people out and enjoying themselves in all sorts of activities. The best part about surfing is the whole new world of adventure from seeing new places, meeting people and discovering things about the world.”
