LOVE LUCY - The Philippine Star

1. No more terrorism in the world, a drug-free Philippines.

2. Children writing thank you notes promptly, snail mail to never become obsolete.

3. A month in Italy.

4. To live in a castle for two weeks, one with a Downton Abbey way of life.

5. A definitive cure for AIDS and all kinds of cancer and other such degenerative diseases, such that life expectancy becomes 120-150 years.

6. Ice cream you can eat by the tub each day that won’t make you fat.

7. All heritage sites in the Philippines restored and preserved.

8. An absolutely non-invasive and non-surgical way of firming and lifting skin and removing eyebags (with results that rival that of a real surgical facelift!)

9. Development to happen without compromising the protection and preservation of natural resources.

10. Children swimming in a safe and non-toxic Pasig River.

11. More open spaces in the city, dotted with beautiful benches and magnificent trees.

12. A transport system in the Philippines that is efficient and more sophisticated than the MRT, similar to the one Hong Kong has that connects all the cities underground.

13. Less traffic along EDSA.

14. Rich and poor people sharing transportation.

15. Healthy bacon.

16. An almost-flawless justice system.

17. No more homeless people, all squatters to have their own homes.

18. For the Philippine economy to be so good that OFWs have a choice to move back home, work in their native land and be with their families.

19. To experience El Camino de Santiago, in its entirety.

20. To have the prettiest ice cream shop of my dreams.

21. Drive-thru joints that serve everything delicious yet absolutely organic.

22. For the personal project/endeavor I am working on now alongside my best friend Denise to be so established and successful it will have wings of its own and grow beyond our greatest expectations.

23. A development like Fort Bonifacio in ORMOC, for each municipality to have its own museum, no matter how modest, that is truly representative of that municipality’s cultural map. Everyone, no matter how poor, should have access to art and beauty and culture.

24. For healthcare to be so efficient that absolutely no one is refused treatment in a private hospital on account of insufficient funds to pay their bill.

25. To finally learn to sing even just three songs. And then climb up on the piano and sing those three songs.

26. Grow my own food, and in the same breath have a fruit orchard and make my own jams and preserves.

27. To hold my second (and maybe even third!) child. Then one day, for me and Richard to be the most chill and coolest grandparents.

28. Write my own book, find time to do it, joyfully.

29. To create and provide sustainable livelihood opportunities in the district I represent, and beyond that, even in a private capacity, as a means of giving back.

30. No more flooding, and for all buildings to be resilient against earthquakes.
