Feelings and chill

Open up: Catch “Confessions” this Feb. 12.

MANILA, Philippines – Whether you’re pro or anti, or divinely wapakels, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and there’s simply no way out of it. If you don’t want to spend it waiting for food in a fully booked restaurant, re-watching and live tweeting your favorite rom-com hugots (we’ve all been there) or fifth wheeling with your friends at a club, then a night of millennial feels might just be your thing. On Feb. 12, some of your favorite mainstream and indie artists like Curtismith, Bullet Dumas and Morisette Amon will come together for “Confessions: A Night of Secrets, Stories and Songs.” Think mini concert, open forum, guidance counseling and a meet-and-greet all rolled into one.

Stages Digital started doing a mini concert series called Stages Sessions in CBTL Bistro at the Fort a season ago. It’s a platform where the artists have full control of the songs they want to sing and the things they want to talk about. At the same time, it’s also a place for the audience to genuinely interact with the artists and see them as more than just a silhouette in a crowded bar on a gig night.

This Valentine’s Day, Stages Digital is bringing the same experience but for a wider audience and with more artists, more throwback hits and more uncensored fun. (Spoiler alert: boy band songs included!) “Confessions” will be centered on the crazy world of millennial love — from falling in love, dealing with heartbreak, to making up or moving on.
