Heima’s where the art is

MANILA, Philippines - In just five years, Heima has made a name for itself as a local lifestyle brand to be reckoned with. While it only has two stores — one in LRI Design Plaza in Makati and another on Brixton St., Brgy. Kapitolyo, Pasig City — its cultural reach is immense. They’re still primarily a furniture and lifestyle company. But in collaborating with emerging talent — everyone from Tumblr favorites like Soleil Ignacio and Tokwa Penaflorida to a pre-Ateneo Art Awards Charles Buenconsejo — Rossy and Bong Rojales have built a community around themselves.

To celebrate its fifth birthday, Heima is throwing a party tomorrow. Together with BuwanBuwan Collective and Locked Down Entertainment, acts like Ize, HANA ACBC, Merlinda / Walls, SimilarObjects, Anton and the Salvadors, SINYMA, Chillitees, Popular Days, Cheats, Flying Ipis, and The Diegos are all coming together for a jolly good time. The party also features a mini exhibit of MT portraits by Ge Mapa, inspired by Wes Anderson movies, the unveiling of a mural by artist Kris Abrigo, and a sneak peek of Heima’s upcoming collection.
