There’s an increased interest in all things retro lately. From dressing like your grampa back in the ‘50s to treating Jack Kerouac’s On The Road as your personal travel bible, everyone seems to love being transported back in time, one way or another. But perhaps one of the most popular means to time travel (without the risk of getting hacked to bits) is buying vinyl records and playing them on those old fashioned turntables. You know, the ones with those cool, trumpet-shaped horns.

As a part of its goal to celebrate these old world traditions, Satchmi recently came up with its version of the turntable — the Motorino II. Reeling in all that made the first Motorino great, Motorino II is sleek and portable, boasting improved sound, lower noise distortion, and longer battery life. And just because going on a throwback trip doesn’t mean you can take any contemporary essentials with you: the Motorino II can even hook up to a computer via USB and convert analog tracks to MP3. If that’s not old school cool, we don’t know what is. — MARGARITA BUENAVENTURA

The Motorino II is available at P7,799. To pre-order, email Satchmi at experience@satchmi.com.
