Cynics might say that these days, small screen heroines are a dime a dozen. These are also probably the same people who believe that women can never be as interesting as men, so forgive me if I’m inclined to disagree. Rich plotlines and incredible story arcs have allowed a wide range of strong female personalities to flourish—smart/crazy, awkward/assertive (and their quirks go even deeper than that, sometimes).  To prove my point, I’ve rounded up some of these fine females on our TV heroine index, each one more intriguing than the next.
