Dinosaur dreams

Hood boy: Creative Elite Operation utilizes dinosaur prints for that T-Rex swagger. “Dinosaurs stand as a symbol of strength and dominance...” they say.

MANILA, Philippines - Dinosaurs were the original gangsters of the animal kingdom. They were the first to devour, the first to dominate — dude, the first at being cool. It was an era that birthed the likes of Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, and all the peripheral dino babes of The Land Before Time. It was also an era that gave us hits like Jurassic Park. The thing is it’s hard to beat anything dinosaur-related. Even Barney & Friends had its own merits at some point.

Local clothing line Creative Elite Operation (CEO) seems to be on the same page as they unwrap their latest collection for fans old and new. Called “Before the Common Era,” their new line features hoodies, tees, a T-Rex flannel, and fossil print sweaters all in an effort to pay tribute to these OGs of fauna. If anything, these clothes are masculine statement pieces that speak for themselves.

“Dinosaurs stand as a symbol of strength and dominance that was never forgotten,” announces the brand. “Deemed mighty, strong and vicious, the vast unknown was theirs for the taking. Even in their extinction, they are still remembered in today’s world for their gigantic size, furious ways and complex behavior.”

CEO is pretty much inspired by their great skill of survival as well. For them, “Before the Common Era” is meant for the go-getting hustlers of the world, the type of people, who, according to them, “has what it takes to turn their monster sized dreams into a reality, and is ready to leave his or her mark — a legacy in this lifetime.”

Breed on, boys.
