Pumped-up kicks

MANILA, Philippines - The successful partnership between Keds and American shoe purveyor Mark McNairy first began with their collaboration on Keds’ Booster model, an iconic casual and sporty update of 1930s footwear. McNairy combines his knowledge of the classics with his flair and originality. Taking the timeless Keds silhouette, McNairy has created a shoe collection that falls in line with his established aesthetic while still maintaining its heritage.

McNairy is a renowned American fashion designer. He was the former creative director for the Ivy League-inspired clothing company J. Press. He has his own collection known as Mark McNairy New Amsterdam. This year, McNairy was named as one of the best new menswear designers in America by GQ magazine.

This season, Keds realigns with McNairy to feature the understated Triumph. In the ‘20s and ‘30s, Triumph hopped across the court on tennis greats and around town on the feet of style icons. This silhouette is brought back with McNairy’s clean and simple design aesthetic and signature brick outsole. Triumph by Mark McNairy comes in canvas and suede. Choose from cream, khaki, navy, and green for the canvas version; and in white, black, orange and brown in suede. This exclusive collection is available in select boutiques.
