AIESEC's Global Youth Summit is back
MANILA, Philippines - Alodia Gosiengfiao and the Younghusbands were just a few of the heavy hitters present at last year’s Global Youth Summit organized by AIESEC Philippines, in partnership with SM Cares, Global Peace Festival Foundation, Global Peace Youth Corps and in cooperation with GeiserMaclang Marketing Communications Inc. An organization aimed towards the enhancement of today’s youth leaders, AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-driven organization. AIESEC Philippines gives the Global Youth Summit its second year, highlighting the youth leaders’ creativity and competence.
On Aug. 11 at the SM North Edsa Skydome, young delegates from across the country and around the world will gather for another round of talks from expert speakers, like APO Hiking Society’s Jim Paredes and Mayor of San Vincente, Palawan, Pie Alavarez. Speakers aside, the summit is also a great chance for the delegates to meet young achievers like themselves. With this year’s theme of “3D: Design, Develop and Deliver,” AIESEC hopes to harness the youth’s potential by informing and educating them of today’s various matters of concern.
The Global Youth Summit will challenge the delegates to think about relevant issues through an issue fair to help provide them with a good foundation for generating ideas. These ideas will help them jumpstart the brainstorming process. After which, workshops will aid the delegates into eventually making their ideas into reality. The best ideas will be featured online, be awarded prizes as well as grants by the challenge sponsors.
College students from the Philippines and abroad, student councils and youth organizations are all invited to take part in this year’s Global Youth Summit. AIESEC promises that this year’s summit will further help the delegates to pursue their leadership plans and dreams.
