MANILA, Philippines - 2012 is the Year of the Dragon and it’s time to celebrate with The Philippine STAR and Swatch with the Annual Chinese New Year Art Competition. This year, the theme is the “Enter the Dragon” T-shirt competition.
Fashion designer and three-time Philippine Fashion Week participant, Herbert Custodio, has created his own dragon T-shirt rendition as an example for this timely competition. His T-shirt, the “Red Dragon,” was inspired by the Swatch New Gent Burgundy Rebel because red to him represents power. Suede leather was used and carefully cut to form the head, scales and claws, then sewn to the fabric to create a two-dimensional dragon figure.
