Life is not a wet T-shirt contest

MANILA, Philippines - Fact of life: A childhood watching MTV Spring Break will not prepare you for the real world. There are no wet T-shirt contests, no Jenny McCarthy spiels (this was the late ‘90s), and no Sisqo intermission number (this was the early ‘00s) in the real world. And if you’re living in a tropical country big disappointment no spring break (see also, spring). Instead, there’s semestral break, one to three weeks of bliss for students ‘round these parts. And while Jenny McCarthy is still probably not the best person for sem break prep, Young Star is stepping up to the plate, wet T-shirt contest be damned. While our flotation devices aren’t Playboy Club level (brief moment of silence for the not-so-dearly departed), we’ve more than made up for that with brains and a full-proof itinerary for sem break fun.
