Eye candy: A Japanese and Filipino Fashion Exhibit and Contest featured the trendy and edgy characters that pepper the streets of Tokyo. Designer and style blogger Cecile Zamora van Straten’s interpretation of street style was also a focal point.
Ear candy: Jap rock punk-pop-rock band Shonen Knife rocked with local favorites Pedicab
Brain freeze: Filipino students and professionals delivered original compositions on the subject of their choice in a speech contest, and got a chance to win an all expense week long study tour in Japan. A Nihongo quiz bee tested high school students on Japanese language and culture.
