A whole lot of play with Samsung

MANILA, Philippines - Imagine life without play. Now, that’s something unimaginable! Studying for exams, finishing your thesis, and reading all those articles requires a lot of play during your down time. Engaging in music, sports, and other forms of art is one way to balance things. There should always be room for fun. Samsung celebrates the reason behind creative enjoyment — that is, passion and imagination — through its youth-oriented campaign, Samsung I Imagine.

As curator of the youth voice, Samsung created a convergence zone for the young to voice their opinions through its website www.samsungimagine.com. The I Imagine Shout-Out Making Contest stimulates young people’s ideas about Talk, Play and Love. They can create their own shout-out and vote for the shout-outs of others. Self-expression transcends the digital world to fashion as the winning shout-out will be printed on limited-edition Samsung “I Imagine” hoodies by Folded and Hung. These will be sold in participating F&H stores and proceeds will be donated to Samsung Hope which sends kids back to school.

Exciting prizes await the winning entrants: P30,000 in cash, a Samsung Corby mobile phone, Samsung ST500 Dual LCD Camera, Samsung CLP-315 printer, Samsung LapFit LD190G monitor, five Samsung “I Imagine” hoodies to keep or giveaway, and P10,000 worth of gift certificates in F&H stores await individual winners. The winners’ schools will each receive a Samsung LCD monitor. There will also be an Online Raffle for all shout-out entrants and voters. Five hundred Samsung I Imagine hoodies, 20 Samsung phones and 20 Samsung DVD players are up for grabs.

Creating a true connection and understanding of today’s youth, Samsung rounded up some college students and asked them their thoughts about fashion, music, sports and the arts. Migo, Tricia, Jasmine, Riki and Elmer share something about themselves and their imaginations.

Migo, Tricia, Jasmine, Riki and Elmer all agree that love for sports, music and the arts make school twice as fun. Thanks to Samsung, their passions and imaginations now have a place — and maybe a chance to create greater change.
