MANILA, Philippines - Julia Abueva opens the show and comes back for the finale. For the grand finale, it’s all the performers together.
The theme “Our World, One World” is inspired by the spirit that unites the APEC member economies. The unifying symbol is water, the vital source of life and the key element connecting the continents.
The highlight of the evening is a concert at the Esplanade Concert Hall featuring some of our best local talents in the local arts and entrainment scene.
The show is inspired by the spirit that unites the 21 member economies, much like the water that connects Our World into One World. There is only one world that we live in, and it is our world to preserve and develop.
Act One begins with the tumultuous descent of the precious element and the contrasting gentle creation of life that follows. Julia Abueva’s The Sound of One Song will remind us that the future belongs to children, and we have a great legacy to hand over to the generations to come. Act Two focuses on a little island that is unique and distinct. It is a place Singaporeans call home, where the East fuses harmoniously with the West. Finally Act Three recognizes that no community is set apart from the global community. To achieve our fullest potential, we must look beyond our shores and embrace the world as a whole, working together to realize our dreams.
