Let's play the Nickelodeon way
MANILA, Philippines - Nicksters, it’s time to turn off your TV screens for a while, get off the couch, get out and go play as Nickelodeon brings you this year’s grandest day of play tomorrow, Sept. 26, at the Bonifacio Global City Open Field in Taguig City.
Now in its fifth year, “Let’s Just Play” continues to promote fun, sportsmanship, fitness and general well-being for all kids. To increase awareness of the campaign and send the message across to its viewers, Nickelodeon has been airing “Let’s Just Play”-inspired public service announcements on its channel since the beginning of September. In the spirit of fun and tradition, the Nickelodeon Channel will go “dark” from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow.
Nickelodeon will turn the Bonifacio Global City Open field into one big playground. Kids will have a chance to play games both onstage and on the field. There are several obstacle relays and inflatables where they can do all of the running, romping, jumping, trekking, twisting, swinging, climbing and sliding they like in a super-active afternoon of slime and grime. And Nicksters who have gone to previous Let’s Just Play events know that the day of play doesn’t end without a special appearance from their favorite Nicktoons. This year, they will say hola to Dora the Explorer and her cousin Diego!
Go to Bonifacio Global City Open Field tomorrow and bring your water squirters to play the day away the Nickelodeon way. The first 1,000 kids to register at the event will get free Let’s Just Play 2009 T-shirts. For more exciting information on Let’s Just Play, log on to www.nicksplat.com.
