MANILA, Philippines - Artist Rom Villaseran has depicted the nocturnal, the fanciful, and everything that is magically-realistic for the past 10 years — doing paintings on canvas and boards, taking on computer graphics work for magazines and books, as well as designing album covers for bands such as Greyhoundz, Kjwan, and Queso, among other bands.
As a way of looking back at the past decade, and looking forward for a big show in 2012, Rom mounts “Foreplay” which opens today, 6 p.m., at Whitewall Gallery, 7467 Bagtikan Street, San Antonio Village, Makati City. The show is on view until Sept. 9.
The artist says, “‘Foreplay’ isn’t an exhibit of new works.
The point is to share a few works from different shows — starting from when I began my career as an artist. This is to give an idea on what my 2012 show will look like.”
