MANILA, Philippines - Get ready as the popular rock sensation The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus performs live at the Ayala Malls. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus was originally born in 2003 in Middleburg, Florida. The band name was actually formed by placing random words on a wall then allowing a blindfolded band member to pick several words at random, spelling out the phrase, “The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.” The band is currently composed of Ronnie Winter on lead vocals, guitar and percussion, Duke Kitchens on guitar, piano and vocals, Joey Westwood on bass and vocals, and Jon Wilkes on drums and vocals.
With a couple of releases including untitled demos containing three songs, the band followed up with their first EP “Kins and Caroll” and a 12-song LP by the end of 2004. Fueled by their strong passion for writing and performing, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus was eventually signed by major label Virgin Records in 2005. In 2006 they released smash hits from the debut album “Don’t You Fake It” such as Face Down, False Pretense, Damn Regret and Your Guardian Angel which was certified gold after having sold more than a million copies in the US and spending 62 weeks on Billboard’s Top 200.
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Guardian Angel Foundation has been formed as an umbrella group to support under-funded high school band programs, to support individuals affected by domestic violence, to promote and enhance student musical development and contribute to research for the management of acute hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients.
