As Shu Uemura turned six last Oct. 20, it opened its very first Shu Uemura Boutique in the Philippines at the second level in the north wing of Power Plant Mall, Rockwell.
So what’s so great about this boutique? Aside from architectural and interior designs that are up to par with global standards, and a capital investment double that of what other luxury cosmetic brands are willing to put out for their boutiques, the Shu Uemura boutique houses an Atelier Room or Learning Center, a service which no other brand in the Philippines can offer its loyal customers.
Here, VIP clients can have private makeover sessions wherein they will not only get their makeup done but their hair as well. There will also be trial makeup for brides-to-be and their entourage courtesy of Shu Uemura Accredited Artists and Associates. Groups of friends who want to spend their afternoons trying on and playing with makeup privately can also have tea parties and small gatherings. Most importantly, the opening of the boutique allows the brand to launch its Atelier Learning Program which will consist of classes teaching customers everything about beauty — how to put makeup on yourself, or others if you want to make a career of it, basics of structuralizing the face and shaping eyebrows, which skincare is best for you and why… anything that a woman needs and wants to know about beauty, she can learn here.
As Mr. Shu Uemura once said, “Tradition is a continuous process of innovation.” Experience the tradition of Japanese Art of Service with Shu Uemura, the original cosmetics innovator, in the Shu Uemura Boutique.
