Giordano launched their denim line last June 30 at TriNoma Mall, and the look on the runway was undeniably preppy cool, the style that the brand is known for. Each ensemble looked fresh and cool, showcasing Giordano’s knack for innovating their trademark pieces. We saw their classic polos in a gamut of col-ors, still stylish and casual. Blues and greens looked new in a wide selection of different tees, from rugby shirts to collared ones, from v-necks to crewnecks. Stripes and solids came alive again in bold and bright colors. All of them were paired with their signature and versatile denims.
The show also featured more neutral and natural pieces, like their casual ensembles in classic black and white. Polos were layered with T-shirts and stripes were layered with solids to add to the contrast of dark and light. Giordano also splashed a lot of grey into their tops and bottoms, showing refreshingly fluid pieces in this light charcoal shade. For more laid-back and comfortable looks that are still very stylish, Giordano presented breezy cotton tops as well as khakis and drawstrings. The browns and beiges were easy on the eyes, and the pieces looked relaxed and cool.
For more formal affairs, the collection also featured outfits that can easily go from work to play. Giordano put together dressier button-down tops, jackets, blazers and pants in different ways that could impress anyone’s boss. There were looks for people in war rooms and those in boardrooms. Either way, formal never again has to be boring. Guys donned statement shirts under blazers. Ladies infused bright colors in their outfits to liven up a neutral top and bottom. All the looks were professional and chic.
Sometimes you watch fashion shows just to see couture and high fashion, but this was a real fashion show, or a show of real, everyday fashion. All the outfits were wearable by anybody and everybody. Even children testified to the comfort and wearability of Giordano as they walked out confidently during the show’s finale. All of their basics are things that you can and want to wear.
You’ll fall in love with the cuts and the fits. Of course, the ever-popular skinnies were pres-ent but the flattering flare that took a backseat when skinny jeans entered the picture looked comfortable, easy and still so fashionable. The capris looked young and adorable. The ladies looked absolutely fun and sexy in everything! The looks were perfect for the men as well. The jeans had the perfect amount of detail and washes, not to mention great fits. Nothing too tight, trendy, or embellished that would make them feel uncomfortable. Just like Giordano, they ex-uded classic and cool.
