Most people I know don’t waste any time packing non-essentials like sunblock. (I kid. Everyone needs their SPF.) Instead, most girls gut their luggage so they can stuff it to the brim with every single spandex piece they have in their closet. God forbid if there are any repeats on the runway that is the Boracay shore.
But thanks to D’ Mall, situated in the midst of all the great restaurants, there are lots of little boutiques offering swimwear to the foolhardy packer. Forgot to invest in a printed bikini? Missed the memo on the sexy, metallic maillot? Fear not, since every other boutique is well-stocked with hyper-stylish (read: not exactly water-proof) suits fit for every occasion.
The Manami Boutique, located at the gorgeous Nami Resort which is situated on a picturesque cliff (all the better to view the pristine white-sand beach and yacht-bedecked aqua sea), sells everything from beachwear to Havaianas flip-flops to an evening clutch for that requisite yacht party.
One recurring leitmotif in the beach gear department is the return of the printed suit. From palm patterns to Hawaiian prints, the latest crop of swimwear apparel to hit the beach is far from plain. Which could make repeating a much more difficult job  thanks to the suit Nazis who like to point out a repeat offender at first glance. But the offerings in Boracay are far from sparse, leaving consumers a goldmine of suits to pick from.
This summer, head to the beach and shop like mad. There’s nothing like a great combination of sand, surf and sales.
