A legacy of parties

The 2006 night scene is marked by a fascinating display of the Metro’s hottest parties and most creative events. From the strictly VIP-only parties to the massive productions attended by thousands, the country has seen a wealth of bright, new concepts materializing and a sea of beautiful people gracing one event after another.

The Dunhill Dimensions Series has been a pioneer of such events. Being the perfectionists they are has allowed them to create the perfect party atmosphere in Manila. The Dunhill VIP party held at the Dupasquier Residence recently set the tone for monster parties for rest of the year. These parties feature Manila’s top DJs, whose task it was to provide the party vibe until dawn.

At another party held at the sprawling garden and poolside of the Coconut Palace in Roxas Boulevard "Kaskade in Manila" was Dunhill’s crowning party or the year. Amid state-of-the-art light and sound installations, internationally renowned DJ and producer Kaskade rocked the palace and gave more than 2,000 dance enthusiasts a truly unique outdoor dance experience. It was kicked off by a special set by renowned local percussion group, Pinikpikan, whose traditional rhythms and percussions fused with the ethnic groove with the unmistakable electronic DJ’s beats of Superfly’s Karl Ty. A special modern performance by Ballet Manila followed, unleashing their captivating moves to the beat of Kaskade’s "Stepping Out" as the impressive fireworks display lit the Manila sky.

Three days later, Dunhill took Kaskade all the way to Club Paraw, Boracay. The powder-white beach and the moonlit Boracay sky was the perfect atmosphere to celebrate house music. Aside from the hip party animals, personalities from the Manila social scene also graced the event.

Dunhill formally unveiled the Dunhill’s Perfectionists Party series. It features individuals who have enjoyed great success and stature by transforming passion into the art of perfection. The honorees are all considered connoisseurs in their specific industries. They were chosen from the fields of music, photography and wine appreciation.

Another launch was the Senses line of Dunhill. The event was hosted by Sam Oh, who launched three distinct tastes including Flow, Luxe, and Frost. Performers at the event were Superfly, DJ Karl Ty and Pinikpikan.
