Rock ng Republika

Fashion today is a beautifully tumultuous balancing act between the old and the new. We are forever meandering between nostalgia and innovation, attempting to redefine ourselves based on where we came from and where we want to be.

This is Rock ng Republika, an unusual amalgam of freethinkers, dreamers, warriors, and princesses, coming together to make a thunderous impact on the present. We are redefining, reinventing and reviving Filipiniana to exist in the now.

Rock ng Republika is the past, resurrected by young minds of the present to achieve a hopeful glimpse of the future. This is the look, sound and taste of counterculture breaking out of its shell and making a difference where it will count most.

Rock ng Republika is a tribute to the Philippines today. It is a fashion show on December 2, 7 p.m. at the Rockwell Loft, featuring ensembles made from native Filipino materials-abel from Ilocos, hand-woven abaca and cotton from Davao, katcha, etc.-modeled to live Pinoy music.

Each of the outfit you see is up for grabs at a silent auction that will last for the duration of the event. The proceeds of Rock ng Republika will buy books, food and medicine for the Bantay Bata Children's Village, based in Bulacan.

If you would like to signify interest in bidding for these outfits before the day of the event, feel free to call 0917-8387668 and the necessary arrangements will be made.
