Cheap thrills

KISS ASS - Ana G. Kalaw -
I have a secret: for the past two years I’ve been using foundation that cost me less than two hundred pesos. Only P145, in fact. I discovered this buy while indulging in one of my cheap thrills: slinking through department store counters checking to see how mass-produced brands have caught up with the luxury beauty market. I chanced upon this foundation and bought it on a whim. Fearful of unwanted breakouts or other hazardous side effects usually (and unfairly) associated with cheap beauty products, it took me awhile before I started using the cheap foundation. I soon realized that it was the exact shade for me, even after I had spent three days roasting under the sun. And the breakouts I half-expected? Never came.

Cheap beauty buys are now causing more than a blip on the fashion radar. Aside from giving great value for less money, they are also great alternatives if you’re the type who needs to switch makeup colors for every given day of the week. So stock up and splurge. You probably deserve it.
