Third times the charm
September 22, 2006 | 12:00am
YStyle celebrated its third year anniversary together with Motorola, which was a celebration of the dynamic fusion between film and fashion. That night, the pages of YStyle became a multi-sensory experience, highlighted by commissioned short film feature by up-and-coming director Jason Tan. A grand fashion show was staged which featured three new collections by established designers Ivar Aseron, Patty Estaquio and Yvonne Quisumbing-Romulo. The show included a remarkable original musical score by Malek Lopez.
YStyle recognized nine photographers for their talent and support of the publication, awarding them a Motorola phone each. The awards represented Motos philosophy: fusing cutting-edge technology and a pop culture sensibility. It also represents YStyles commitment to always being on the cusp of change.

How would you encourage Filipinos to be more daring with fashion?
Id tell them: Dont hesitate to try something new! And dont take dressing up too seriously, have fun with it! I would encourage the style-phobics to catch a fabulous fashion show or visit shops that carry Filipino designer labels.
