Tim time

It’s been known in our circle of friends that there is another time zone in the world called "Tim time." Whether in Paris, New York or Tokyo – Tim shows up at any event or even at the simplest dinner at his own given hour (meaning outfit completed and party begins). I’m a time Nazi – meaning I grid my days in 30-minute increments daily. How the two of us manage to be best friends despite having a huge disparity in time management is simple: we just don’t make plans with each other. It simply just "happens."

However, no one personifies the concept of timely more than Tim himself. He put the face of the youth out there during a time when children were still meant to sit down and act as decorations to their parents. His events and journalistic endeavors have paved the way for a younger force.

Today, the effervescent Tim’s latest venture is an innovative new creation that is already being celebrated in the global design landscape: the Tim Yap Limited Edition Watch by ODM. It is a quintessential timepiece designed by Tim, reflecting his personal style, idealism and consummate patriotism. Tim is a staunch advocate of the world-class Filipino. The limited-edition Tim Yap watch features an edgy rendition of the Philippine islands, along with the standout text of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The digital screen is a scrolling message: "I am super proud to be Pinoy!"

The reception of Tim Yap’s watch has been extraordinary. It was launched at such globally renowned hotspots as Fouquet’s in Cannes, Hotel Costes in Paris, and at the New York Grill in Park Hyatt in Tokyo. In fact, it was sold out in Paris among the French-Filipino community. It has also been worn by design icons such as D&G’s Stefano Gabana, French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld, Baron Philippe and Philippine de Rothschild, Takashi Murakami and local design wunderkind Lesley Mobo. Even designer Kimora Lee Simmons of Baby Phat took notice!

What can I say? Tim is definitely on time.
