If I remember it correctly, a French proverb says, "The torch of love is lit in the kitchen." Romance is nurtured with an exquisite nibble, a delectable bite and the sumptuous taste of a truly memorable meal. This was in my mind while having dinner with a group of unattached individuals at M Café. Amidst dazzling, elegant interiors and music by the Sandilea band that conjured images of love and desire, M offered a mélange of remarkable cuisine and a "hopeless romantic" sensibility in a relaxed, cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Featuring the creative flair of Filipino culinary artist and renowned international chef Sau del Rosario, M presented its luscious dinner offerings with a sensual, whimsical wisdom. The night was lubricated with a bottle of Fortant de France, and the scent of roses that wafted through the air complemented the lush al fresco setting.

As I was about to end the night, the guy, who I thought would leave, remained there seated with eyes beset. And then the fireworks began. It was magnificent,mind blowing and euphoric. And then I let my heart do the talking.

When I take the time to cook a really special dinner for him and when he becomes the inspiration of my poetry – I have done both for my boyfriend. Cooking is such a nurturing and heartwarming gesture, something I reserve only for people closest to my heart, and my poetry is the song of my soul.

Confusion? What confusion? Lust and love are synonyms. I love lust and I lust for love.
