Time for an ocean adventure

One of the most respected and favored Swiss-watch brands in the world, Omega, recently launched its exciting new addition to the Omega Seamaster range, the Planet Ocean. The event was attended by Omega vice president for product development and designer of Planet Ocean range Jean Claude Monachon and Omega area sales manager Oliver Hugentobler.

The venue was transformed into a serene view of the underwater sea, accompanied by the calming sound of the blue ocean. A huge image of Planet Ocean endorser and Olympic champion Michael Phelps depicted the watch in dramatic action.

Planet Ocean is one of the most adventurous Omega models, inspired by the bright hues of the clown fish amid the deep blue of the sea. The range, which features a leather-strapped piece with orange bezel, considered a highly fashionable timepiece, marries style with the uncompromising quality Omega is known for.

The gathering’s climax came when oh-so-lucky Marie Claire fashion editor Rorie Carlos won the Planet Ocean watch.

I’m a very sports-oriented person. I like scuba diving and playing golf so I’d rather pick a sporty watch over an evening watch. Not only does it fit my lifestyle but it also doesn’t go out of fashion.

I’m a diver so owning a water resistant watch is of primary importance. You wouldn’t want your watch to spring a leak when you’re under depths that exert a lot of pressure.

Although her dad would like her to be part of the track and field team someday, I am not that particular. I always make it a point to excel in any sport I get into. It’s my nature to always push myself to get better and better in whatever I do.
