Juice TV, the station responsible for producing quality TV shows dedicated to young upwardly mobile Pinoys, celebrated its first milestone with a party held at the Dream Bar (6750 Ayala) recently.
The event, which was hosted by Suzie Abrera, celebrated the launch of their main shows The Kikay Machine, Space, Gone for the Weekend and Side Stitch on Zoe 11 and Home Cable Channel 42.
Friends from the media and advertising industries were treated to a night of live music, provided by Skarlet and the Dream House band, along with a sneak peek video presentation of what Juice has to offer in the coming months. Guests were invited to get their "electronic juice" by surfing the official Juice website, www.juice.ph at the website kiosk. The evening was also highlighted by a grand raffle.
With plans of expanding its program roster, Juice TV currently has four flagship programs. Gone for the Weekend offers budget-friendly alternatives to those looking for a quick escape from urban living. The Kikay Machine, hosted by model and Young Star writer Rissa Samson, is every girl’s guide to looking good and feeling good. Space provides solutions to all your home improvement problems and is hosted by Reema Chanco. Side Stitch is a zany look at health and fitness and is hosted by the irrepressible tandem of Peejo Pilar and Mel Lozano.
Juice TV began last year when nine former producers from Probe Productions met one day last year to come up with their dream lifestyle channel. At the same time, the crazy visionaries who created Lakbay TV were thinking of how to create a local lifestyle channel.
Station manager Jake de Guzman recalled: "There is no other place where Juice TV could have been put together but in CCFI Asia Television. Dreams need the power of vision and the kick of courage bordering on suicide, and if you’re lucky the wisdom of experience."
"And there is no other place where the seeds of the Juice TV dream and the passion for excellence could have been nurtured than with Cheche Lazaro and Probe Productions. She jokingly calls us her children. Tonight I think she has finally met her grand children. For like Probe, we have a healthy serving of young idealistic talents who have a passion for giving the best programs to the Filipino audience," Jake declared during the launch.
You can get your daily dose of Juice on Destiny Cable 47, Home Cable 42 and Dream 16 from 2-4 a.m. 8-10 a.m. and 8-10 p.m. The shows are also seen on Zoe 11, Saturdays and Sundays from 8-9 p.m.
