Scary treats for Halloween

Registration is ongoing for the Halloween pumpkin painting contest until Oct. 20 at the Color Me Mine shop on the mall’s level 5. The contest is open to kids aged two to 12 years old. For P150, registrants get all the materials they need for the contest which is held every Saturday and Sunday. Winners will be announced on Oct. 26.
Kids up to 12 years old can come in their favorite costume and join Shang’s trick or treat on Oct. 26. Up for grabs are exciting prizes for the scariest, most original, cutest, most creative as well as the Best Couple. Registration for the first 300 kids is ongoing until Oct. 25 at the Sacred Heart School Activity Center on level 5. Registration fee is P150.
On Oct. 27, Halloween fun continues with the kiddie face-painting sessions from 2 to 4 p.m. The first 100 kids to register that day will experience the fun and excitement of creative face painting conducted by professional face painters.Ronald McDonald caps the afternoon celebration at the mall’s black marble area in the foodcourt at 4 p.m. Kids are in for delights and surprises during his storytelling activity.
A Halloween Masquerade Party at the mall’s grand atrium on Oct. 30 caps the festivities featuring top bands Toy Symphony, Hyperbeat, Aquarella, Mullato and The Big Thing.

This Halloween revelry is presented by Dreamscape, Nestle Ice Cream and Zest-o Choc-o, together with Robinsons Movie World, Metrobank Fun Savers Club, Garfield, Pillsbury, Clover Chips, Cheezy Kids, Kidz Station, Egg Bites, Henkel, Vernel, Pril, Fewa, Perwoll, Time Life, Purefoods and Parents magazine.
Dress up the kids in the most creative Halloween attire and let them join the costume contest where they can win cash prizes. Winners with the cutest and spookiest costumes can win up to P2,000. The family wearing the most eerie outfit can win an overnight accommodation at Manila Diamond Hotel.
To join the "Masquerade party with Little Spooks," present one Dream day wrist tag upon registration. Robinsons Dream Centers club members can participate by presenting a valid ID. Registration starts at 10 a.m.
The fun begins at 9 a.m. when the kids and their parents can start on a hearty brunch buffet that will be laid out for them. While dining, the young ones can romp in the specially-designated play area equipped with the latest playground equipment. A children party’s host will lead the kids in inter-active activities like parlor games, a magic show and storytelling. There will also be a "Best in Halloween Costume" where fabulous prizes are at stake. At 11:30 a.m. Sesame Street mascots will make a special appearance to meet the party guests. The party will end with the traditional trick or treat in selected areas of the hotel.

Only those who are in full costume will qualify to join the contest on Oct. 31, after registering from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Carousel Court. The first, second and third prize winners will receive P5,000, P3,000 and P2,000, respectively, and special gift packs. Winners of special awards (the most creative and unique, the best look-alike, the funniest and the cutest costumes) will each receive P1,000 worth of gift certificates.

At 3 p.m, there will be a free Halloween costume party for kids dubbed Halloween Survivor Spootakular Show. Kids will surely enjoy the games and the program. Prizes will be awarded to best costumes on different categories: Best Pet Look-alike (bring your own pets), Best Spooky Character, Most Creative and Original Costume and The Best Mother/Father and Child Costume. To cap the program, kids will have the traditional Trick-or-Treat around the mall. There will be free balloons for kids who register early.
Adults can have a henna face and body paint of the spookiest Halloween monsters and creatures at the Persona shop for a minimal fee!
While the kids are trick-or-treating, parents can shop and avail of the huge discounts of popular boutiques like Maldita, Dickies, Fred Perry, Penshoppe/Oxygen, Anonymous, Hush Puppies and the P99 Store.
