Cartoon Network animates your world

Cartoon Network works with the Poveda Learning Centre in helping Poveda students unlock their creative potential through the imaginative Animate Your World program.

Starting this school year, Cartoon Network, through the exclusive girls school’s Learning Equivalency and Alternatives Program (LEAP) Center, will facilitate the Grade School Povedans application of Animate Your World concepts to problem-solving, self-expression and other experiences in life and learning.

This program is engineered to develop creative thought and idea generation — something we truly believe in encouraging here at Cartoon Network. The inspirations included will help harness creativity and innovation among students, allowing them to develop a lateral thought process — something that will help encourage a more positive interpretation of the world around them," says Ian Diamond, senior vice president and general manager, Turner Entertainment Networks Asia, Inc. "Poveda is always on the lookout for programs that can enhance and develop our students’ potentials. As proponents of the Personalized Education Program, we aim to include the principles of individuality, communication, creativity and responsible freedom. Animate Your World has become a vehicle for us to provide holistic education to our students," states Milagros Pacia, grade school principal, Poveda Learning Centre.

Animate Your World is based on a series of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) airing on Cartoon Network called "Inspirations." These PSAs are simple and powerful messages that encourage the growth of imagination and creativity.

Poveda was chosen as the pilot school for the Animate Your World mainly because of the LEAP. The Center provides supplementary modules to all grade schoolers, who have completed their class requirements.

With its launch in Poveda, the Philippines would be known as one of first two Asian countries to implement the Animate Your World program, the other one being India.
