Are you interested in learning the techniques for meeting Mr. or Ms. Right? Do you want to know who your soul mate is? Do gays have soul mates?
Well, if you’re curious to know the answers to these questions clear your calendar or date-book for Love 101: Everything you wanted to know about Love... but didn’t know who to ask  a comprehensive seminar on the topic of love.
The brainchild of Star Moon International president Carrie Villamor and business-partner Gina Roque, the seminar came about through their numerous conversations with friends about the so-called "corny" but "intriguing" subject of love. "We just talked about the simplest questions about love," Carrie says. Indeed, it was during one of their numerous conversations that she realized that people are actually continuously searching for love because they are either emotionally ill equipped or poorly informed in matters concerning romance. "Love is something vital, it’s the reason why we thrive as individuals  as persons," she says.
Love 101 is a fascinating mix of different disciplines that is guaranteed to pique the interest of participants. "It’s a one-of-a-kind seminar. It’s a mix of metaphysics, astrology and life experiences that would not only present participants with the knowledge needed in nurturing relationships, but it could also present them with the options or tools that they could use in searching for love," Carrie explains.
Among the guest speakers are Ruel Ruiz and Henry Palacios, who are among the most well-known and sought-after metaphysicians and astrologers respectively, in the country today.
Ruiz who is the resource person for ABS-CBN’s Verum Est and who is also a highly regarded metaphysician, is understandably supportive of a seminar that could serve as a venue for explaining the oftentimes-misunderstood subject of love. "It’s timely," Ruiz says, "do you know that 98 percent of people who come to me consult me for their love problems?"
Self-worth in this sense, means changing oneself as well. As such, Ruiz will try to make participants understand the reasons underlying their search for love, the types of love that individuals expect to experience, as well as teach them "techniques" that would ensure harmony in an existing love relationship.
For his part, Henry Palacios believes that love matches can be aided by a deeper understanding of one’s own astrological sign in relation to that of a loved one  the concept of synastry as he calls it.
According to Palacios, astrology can be an important tool in understanding relationships because it sheds light on the "very nature of a person." As such, it can serve as a guide in determining the decisions that people make when that thing called love comes a-calling.
"People don’t realize this, but we are all affected by the perception of how we love," he notes. Nonetheless, he admits that in the end, it is up to person to make relationship decisions based on how emotionally equipped or prepared he or she may be  a state which seminars like Love 101 can help people attain.
