Cheese releases new single and video

- From the Philippine Star’s YS -
After the band’s first single Mottaka which surprised music fans with the fusion of reggae and hardcore metal, Cheese releases its second single Enes, which was directed by Ace Enriquez and Avid Liongoren.

Currently being shown on MTV, the Enes video tells the story of a sinner who finally finds redemption and inner peace in the end. Liongoren explains that the lyrics laid the foundation from which the storyline was put together, and that Cheese knew exactly which images they want for the scenes.

"Enes is a song about a prostitute. Ace and I decided that the plot of the story should end in redemptive action. At the end of the video, the prostitute goes to church to repent for her sins," says Liongoren.

Influenced by videos from Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle (bands notorious for their bizarre imagery and noveau production values), the Enes video is a great visual companion to one of Cheese’s most interesting songs.

As a bonus offering, Warner Music Philippines has released Cheese Live! Whathathoom, a VCD of the band’s "Pilipinas" album launch at the Bonifacio Shrine last April 12. The VCD is available at all music stores.
