Look who’s partying at the Megastrip

- From the Philippine Star’s YS -
Top VJs, hot bands and hip young celebrities recently partied during the "Strip Launcha: A Midsumma Partee" at the SM Megamall Megastrip.

Hosted by MTV’s KC Montero, Studio 23 VJ Trisha and top jocks Chico and Delamar, the event featured hunks Diether Ocampo and Bernard Palanca with their cool sense of rhythm. Diether sang a string of alternative songs, while Bernard jammed with his band Bisquit Factory and brother Mico.

Partygoers had a great time with the bands Cheese, Voice Unlimited (Lee Robin Salazar, Nino Alejandro, Cholo Escano and Jomar Cruz) and South Border.

It was also an evening of fun and games, fashion (with a show by Sari Sari) and fireworks — and a laser show.

One of the evening’s highlights was the launching of the PLDT Megastrip Phone Card, which gives shoppers who dine at any of the Megastrip’s tenants a free dessert treat for every P150 purchase.

Located at Julia Vargas Avenue, the Megastrip is a row of trendy restaurants and has become one of the most exciting hot spots in town, a foodie’s delight.

Here, one can feast on modern Italian cuisine at Cibo, get a slice of authentic Italian flavors at Piadina Centrale, or savor French Mediterranean specialties at Café Provençal. There’s a lot of fusion fun at the tres hip Kitchen; Azzuro‘s delightful combination of Spanish, Italian, French and Greek cuisine; and Café Metro’s Asian-inspired dishes. The Megastrip also has Seattle’s Best and Starbucks outlets.

Other restaurants include the Soup Kitchen, Super Bowl of China, Kenny Rogers and Smokin’ Cue.
