The Yummiest Boys On TV: Leandro Munoz (Part I)
June 15, 2002 | 12:00am
Looks can be deceiving, as the cliché goes. You go on thinking about James Dean. Or worse, that asshole boyfriend you dumped some days ago. But believe it when I say you’d never count Leandro Munoz in that category. He’s simply too good… or so we think. You may just be decieved – big time!
Who would ever think that the smile that launched the arcade dating and the confidence-boosting toothpaste had dark secrets in his sleeves? Don’t worry, those secrets are not NBI dossiers but tattoos, three of them actually, of the bad boy favorite tribal variety. But you sure never got a glimpse of them when you saw his plight as telenovella star on the soap Saan Ka Man Naroroon. Neither did you see them when he starred opposite two showbiz royalties, the King of Action Movies Fernando Poe Jr. and the tear-duct princess Juday on his hit movie Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko. But of course, you all saw his angelic face and his equally holy smile. And he was wearing his signature style long sleeved shirts.
Now he’s busy with countless out of town shows and is getting prepped for another addition to the ever growing soap casts. Go figure which, though. And he’s doing the last remaining shooting days of his next movie, Jologs.
Appetizing personality:
What taste bud would your personality be best associated with (sweet, sour, salty, bitter or spicy) and why?
Sweet. It’s obvious, since I’m quite a sweet person. But I’m also spicy, since I love spicy food. I even have a tattoo that says "Chili"!
If you were to eat your last meal on earth, what would it be and why?
Crispy pata. Because of my diet, I am deprived of eating fatty food, so since it’s my last meal, I think I deserve to pig out!
What do you think is the spice that makes you yummy?
I’m a bad ass! (Laughs!)
The Career Main Course:
If you could sum up your whole job as a main dish, what would it be?
Rare steak. It’s a dish I find so delicious but it is hard to swallow.
What’s the most fulfilling thing you’ve done as far as your career is concerned?
Because of my career I’ve been to all the SMs around the Philippines. I got to travel around the country.
Sweet Endings – Love Life:
What dessert best typifies your present romantic status?
Ice cream in an oven … It’s melting!
Who is the yummiest woman for you and how would you compare her to food?
Renee Zellweger. For me, she’s a fruit salad. I can just eat her anytime, anywhere.
What’s your recipe for a good turn-on?
Attractive on the outside, delicious on the inside.
What delicious temptation can’t you stay away from (and we’re not talking about food this time)?
Legs, legs, legs. Oh, and did I say legs?
Which is better? Food or sex?
SEX!
