Think Big Blue
January 15, 2002 | 12:00am
A departure from the boring black notebooks that Big Blue has been producing for the last few years, it not only looks good but also is relatively lightweight.
The S31 features Intel's Pentium III processor with Intel's Speedstep technology running at 600 MHZ. It comes with either a 15GB or 30GB hard disk and 128 MB RAM, which can be upgraded to 256 MB RAM.
It weighs in at 1.4kg, is about an inch thick (about three cm) and comes with a 10.4 inch XGA TFT screen. There is a built-in 56K V.90 modem and ThinkLight (for those road warriors who need to work in dimly lit surroundings).
