Just as la vie boheme in Malate is experiencing a rebirth of sorts, the merry folk of quiet and laid back Las Pinas City down south are showing a renewed interest in divine comedy. Driving down the two-laned national road that is the Alabang-Zapote road last Sunday evening, we were surprised to find that a slew of comedy and sing-along bars have opened since our discovery of the laugh-'til-you-drop-dead place, 22nd Street, last year.
Sitcom Live! is the newest addition to the growing comedy bar business south of Manila, which also includes La Comedia in the same city and Overlaugh in BF Paranaque. Having opened only several weeks ago, it still smelled of fresh paint during out visit.
