Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub)
Groove Armada
Universal Records

What’d you say if you’re one of the most critically acclaimed bands of UK’s club scene-dom and your fanlist includes Madonna and Sir Elton John? I’d say, "Goodbye Country, (Hello Nightclub)!"

After two years of ruling over London’s turntables and two chart-hitting albums, the band has done it again, coming up with a 12-track album (plus one bonus cut) full of chill-out, house and funk hits infused with reggae, blues and jazz influences (think Bob Marley on the electric chair) that incessantly remind you of Mai Tais, Piña Coladas, and bursting thermometers.

Music that is insightful, almost poetic, soulful yet undoubtedly electronic, dance yet laid-back. The album is a contradiction in itself. But don’t get me wrong, I won’t dare contradict your purchase.
