Who’s gonna be the newest MTV VJ?

One of the most highly anticipated events of the year, the MTV VJ Hunt serves as a launching pad for 10 special individuals who’ll become part of the running for the coveted title as MTV’s newest VJ. It’s been nearly two years since the last MTV VJ Hunt when then-neophytes Belinda Panelo and KC Montero won as MTV’s newest VJs, and are now familiar faces who host their own shows, they have become household names, along with MTV Philippines’ newest VJ Sarah Meier who joined MTV early this year.

When MTV Philippines, along with New Lux Super Rich Shampoo, Smart Communications, Lipton Ice Tea, Mentos, Close-Up, Kickers, and Holiday Inn announced last August that they were in search for their newest VJ to become part of the MTV family, VJ wannabes from all over the country tried out for the coveted title as MTV’s newest VJ. From over 400 applicants who tried out in Manila, Cebu, Bacolod, Davao, and Cagayan de Oro, MTV Philippines finally chose 10 who, according to MTV Philippines managing director Francis Lumen, says "best embodies how a VJ should be: a role model for the youth, a trend-maker, someone who is intelligent, witty, dynamic, and very personable."

Who’ll be the next KC, Belinda, and Donita? We’ll soon find out during the MTV VJ Hunt Finals Night tonight at the SM Megamall Megastrip, when we see the 10 finalists in action!
