MTV 2001 VJ HUNT
November 8, 2001 | 12:00am
As cool jobs go, being an MTV VJ must be high on the list of gotta-have-hey-I-get paid-to-have-fun careers. High recognition factor, legions of adoring fans, cool clothes and parties, plus the swell chance to express yourself in front of an eager national audience.
Auditioning for a spot in the elite roster that includes Donita Rose, Sarah Meier, Belinda Panelo and KC Montero, however, can prove to be a touch task. One must not only have the mug, that charm and the smarts for the job, one must also be game to do whatever crazy stunt the unpredictable music channel has cooked up to keep the kids highly entertained.
MTV Philippines’ press conference held at TGI Fridays last month kicked off the nationwide 2001 VJ Hunt. On the panel to answer questions regarding the VJ Hunt were communications and press executive Charley Bautista, director for marketing and communications Rod Nepomuceno and MTV VJ KC Montero.
