MANILA, Philippines — Tech company Grab launched its new Advance Booking transportation service to assist users with flights and need quick rides to the airport.

Grab Philippines Head of Mobility EJ Dela Vega shared in a statement that a standout need for Filipinos is reliable airport transportation especially when booking at peak times or rush hour, and that's where Advanced Booking comes in.

"[The] product goes beyond offering mere airport transfers — it provides travelers the peace of mind they deserve. This new service has been engineered to have guaranteed on-time rides every time, enabling every Filipino traveler to leave their homes with the confidence they'll have a ride to make their flight on time," he said.

Rides on the feature, found on the Grab Transport page, can booked as early as seven days ahead up to two hours before the scheduled ride.

Users just need to input the planned date and time of their ride, the pick-up location, and the terminal to be dropped off. A maximum of three passengers with three pieces of luggage can be accommodated.

If an issue occurs during booking, the app will quickly reassign a new driver and offer a P100 courtesy credit if drivers arrive later than the pre-scheduled time.

A 15-minute grace period is implemented for the feature in the event drivers have minor delays to attend to or passengers need additional time to arrive at pinned location for pick-up.

Passengers will receive regular updates and reminders about their scheduled ride, and 45 minutes before pick-up, users can already chat with their assigned driver through the app.

If users cancel rides less than an hour before the scheduled pick-up, is unreachable, or arrives at the pick-up spot beyond the grace period, they will be charged the ride's full fare.

There will be no charge if the cancellation is made at least an hour before the scheduled time.

The feature is currently available to users in Metro Manila, with availability in areas outside the National Capital Region expected sometime later this year.
