MANILA, Philippines — With lots of stress and anxiety eating people up during this seemingly never-ending pandemic, many people are looking for a place where they can relax and do activities within eco-friendly surroundings.
A few hours drive from metropolis is the Caliraya Springs in Cavinti, Laguna, where visitors can relax the day away far from the sights and sounds of the city.
Here are some of the activities guests can enjoy in the mountain lake resort during the pandemic:
Fishing
One of the main attractions in the lake resort is the Fishing Village, where guests can catch different fish and have the fish cooked after they had fun fishing.

According to the management, Astro Camp is where guests can enjoy viewing stars using the resort’s telescope. Amid the backdrop of a relaxing scenery, guests can also request to watch movies under the stars.
Obstacle Course
This part of the resort is perfect for team building. But since mass gatherings are not allowed during the pandemic, the resort will allow the use of the facility for small gatherings of family and friends. This 10-Stage Obstacle Course can provide adventures such as a mudslide, a hanging bridge, and a zip line, to name a few.
Golfing
Caliraya Springs Golf Course is a 36-hole golf course built around Caliraya Lake, with the majestic Mount Banahaw as backdrop.
Designed by renowned golf legend and course designer Arnold Palmer and Graham Marsh, the lakeside course is filled with uphill and downhill terrains, challenging shot lengths and captivating landscape to make guests golfing experience memorable.
If you’re not into golfing, you can stroll around the entire golf course with the golf cart to bask in the breathtaking beauty.
Watersports
This eco place in Laguna houses the 10,777-hectare Caliraya Lake, enabling guests to enjoy different water activities such as jetski, swan boat, banana boat and canoe. It is also possible to cruise the entire lake to spot the different celebrity houses around the area.
