Belenismo in Tarlac

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The province of Tarlac has again highlighted its tradition of belens in the different towns. In Ramos, a family made a belen out of recyclabled materials, while in Pura a group of farmers used bamboo. Diplomats toured the various belens, with (in photo) Singaporean Ambassador VP Hirubalan, Australian Ambassador Bill Twedell and Turkish Ambassador Esra Cankour visiting the AFP-NOLCOM belen together with AFP chief Gen. Gregorio Pio Catapang, Tarlac Heritage Foundation founder Isabel Cojuangco Suntay (left) and chair Isa Cojuangco Suntay (right).
