KTO announces upgraded ‘Visit Korea App 4.0
MANILA, Philippines - Visit Korea Mobile App has been upgraded with more travel information and useful features,including discount coupons and travel planning.
Officials from the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) announced that the app has incorporated more features to meet the needs of mobility while traveling, which will help bring visitors closer to knowing Korea’s charm.
Equipped with more content and improved interfaces, the app will serve as a smart tour guide while on the go, with new functions such as discount coupons, routing services and more, in addition to plenty of travel information found on the previous versions. The 4.0 app provides a diverse range of information rounding out at around 7,000 tourist attractions, restaurants, and shopping locations, plus articles that can be found on the KTO website www.visitkorea.or.kr.
Among the many new highlights, the mobile coupons for shopping, dining and performances are expected to draw much attention as it removes the need to print paper copies while still offering the same benefits simply by showing the coupons on mobile phones or electronic devices. The app will also aid in planning trips for individual travelers by displaying the latest Travel Highlights and news articles updated daily.
A ‘Travel Planner’ function was also introduced, enabling customized itinerary planning. Recommended itineraries as well as popular itineraries made by other travelers give users a space for sharing.
The application is available for download in both Apple iTunes and Android Google Play.
