Pasalubong Center now open
LINGAYEN, Pangasinan, Philippines – The Capitol Tourist Assistance and Pasalubong Center located at the Capitol beachfront here was inaugurated recently.
This tourism facility, formerly named Capitol Café, will give tourists and visitors of Pangasinan information on the best places, natural and man-made wonders and festivities of the province.
An array of Pangasinan’s best products and souvenir items await tourists as pasalubong.
Gov. Amado Espino Jr. said the tourism facility managed by the Provincial Tourism Office supports the aggressive tourism development efforts of the province.
“More tourism facilities should be constructed to accommodate a large number of tourists from abroad to spur up our tourism potentials,” Espino said.
Small and medium enterprises were invited to display and market their products at the Pasalubong Center.
Initial participants include Bella’s Puto Calasiao, Valleden’s Pastries, DOREVI Bamboo craft and Bandulf wood craft in San Carlos City, Ugnayan ng Nagkakaisang Kababaihan ng Sual (UNAKA) handicraft, Pangasinan Tropical Fruits Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Manaoag and JE’s Bagoong products.
The Solid Waste Management Office and Provincial Tourism Office also have souvenir items on display.
Provincial tourism officer Ma. Luisa Elduayan said a mini-café will soon open inside the Pasalubong Center.
