LPU students to train in Malaysian resort

MANILA, Philippines - Selected students from the College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) of the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU)-Manila campus are set to start their on-the-job training at the Primaland Resort and Convention Center in Port Dickson, Malaysia. 

The resort’s officers — human resources director Yeong Ching Seong, and operations director Danny Tan — came to LPU-Manila to conduct interviews. 

The students, who passed the rigid selection process, are Josef Francisco, Jamil Angelo de Jesus, Jamaica de Guia, Alyssa May Parilla, Abigael Evasco, Reah Maeh Rabaya, Mary Ann Flores, Patricia Angeles, Patrick Alinsub, Robin James de los Santos, and Jeff Vicenal.

They will receive a hefty monthly allowance while being deployed at the different departments of the resort during their six-month training, aside from complimentary accommodations, duty meals, and insurance.

The 300-room, five-star Primaland Resort and Convention Center boasts of a water park, an oversized outdoor pool, and a winding water slide for the sun lovers.

LPU’s CITHM also offers other international on-the-job training destinations such as the United States, Thailand, France, South Korea, Guam, Australia, and New Zealand, aside from 500 partner establishments in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
